Outside of ideas of wrong doing or right doing, there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.

- Rumi -

You are designed to be a field of possibility.

You are designed to live wholeheartedly — to feel the full range of emotion, and still find clarity, rest and calm within it.

We experience life through an invisible psychological operating system, not through a fixed, factual version of reality. We don't experience life as it is — we experience life as we are, moment to moment, shaped by our thoughts and the accompanying state of our nervous system rather than events themselves. And like any living thing, we carry an innate intelligence that knows how to adapt, heal and grow, whatever the circumstance — the same intelligence that turns a plant toward the light.

When the mind is busy — overthinking, worrying, replaying, anticipating — that intelligence gets harder to hear. When it quiets, we recalibrate. We see more clearly what's ours to do next.

This isn't just a nice idea. It's the foundation of every piece of work we do — whether that's helping an organisation recover from burnout, supporting an individual through a life transition, or holding space for a couple to reconnect. Relating to ourselves and others as fields of possibility — where love, connection and creativity can flourish — is what makes the practical work land.

Relating to ourselves and others as fields of possibility, where love, connection and creativity flourish is foundational to all our work.

“What shape waits in the seed of you to grow and spread its branches against a future sky?”

-David Whyte-

Kirstien’s story of how it became…

‘I’ll work in this field of possibility’ I said, to my then coach, Sally, as we stood inside the gate looking up across the field which was thigh high in grass, thistle, and ragwort. It was October 2015; the blue sky was mottled with grey clouds. We hugged our coats for warmth. A miniature plastic Bob the builder figure lay face up by the gate post. ‘Really?’ She said.

The twitch of her eyebrows confirmed my doubts, who was I to think this way? A fantasist and day dreamer, who has ideas above her station. As a busy working, sleep deprived mum with 3 young children, far more familiar with self-doubt than possibility.

Years on, having built a life and a practice around this land and this idea, I can see it clearly: being a field of possibility is the heart of what I do, who I am, and where I point people to. I still forget it most days and react from fear instead — but it remains solid ground to return to.

Why? Because understanding that we're designed to be a field of possibility — rather than defined by limiting beliefs and stuck patterns of behaviour — frees us to respond to life instead of being run by old habits and old fears.

Because knowing this instils hope, builds resilience that lasts, and strengthens how we show up in our relationships and our work.

Because meeting ourselves and each other outside of right and wrong — as Rumi points to — is fertile ground for forgiveness, love, healing and creativity.

I look forward to being with you there.
